The sustainable community hub is an infrastructure that accompanies the transition to a collaborative society based on environmental and social sustainability.
THE ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT BY THE HUB
Organisation of information spaces and awareness-raising events to promote sustainability and measures to combat energy poverty
Events and information for private companies on resource sustainability and energy saving
Drafting of individual energy poverty plans for vulnerable individuals and households
Provision of an energy consultant able to guide citizens and stakeholders in the choice of sustainable solutions suitable for reducing energy costs (energy saving tools, responsible use of energy, use of bonuses and financial instruments for energy efficiency, including digital ones)
Promotion of Renewable Energy Communities (association between citizens, businesses, local public administrations or small and medium-sized enterprises that decide to join forces to equip themselves with one or more shared plan for the production and self-consumption of energy from renewable and alternative sources)
ROLE OF THE MUNICIPALITY
Support in the action research implementation and participation in exchange activities
Experience sharing and awareness raising events both in presence and online to promote the hub and increase the knowledge of CERs
Participation in capacity building and training for local administrators about CER’s development and management
Selection of young NEETs to be involved in the hub
Organisation of a school competition to raise awareness among younger generations and families
